Please note the following important instructions:

1. If your water pressure is suspected to exceed 80 psi at any time, a pressure regulator must be installed before the filter housing to prevent the maximum pressure rating from being exceeded. It is recommended to set the pressure regulator to 60 psi or less.

2. Ensure adequate sealing tape is applied to the inlet/outlet thread connections. A layer of joint compound or other adhesive can also be used for metal and stainless steel components, followed by another layer of Teflon tape. This will help address any potential leaks.

3. Before reassembling the filter, remove the canisters, clean the O-ring surfaces, and re-lubricate them. The rubber O-rings provide the water-tight seal between the cap and sump, so proper seating is crucial to prevent leaks.

5. Protect the filter housing from freezing temperatures.

6. When replacing filters, run the water for 10-15 minutes. It is normal for some black carbon fines to appear during the initial flushing, and the water produced should be discarded.
