This 20-inch string wound filter cartridge from Membrane Solutions is a standard 20"x2.5" universal size that fits most 20-inch filter housings. It can be used as a pre-filter for reverse osmosis (RO) systems, whole-house water filtration, and a variety of commercial and industrial water treatment systems.

Compared to melt-blown filter cartridges, the string filter is the best choice for filtering water with high sediment levels. It offers four times the dirt-holding capacity, double the flow rate, and a longer service life than polypropylene (PP) sediment filters.

The unique honeycomb structure increases the filter's dirt-holding capacity, while the polypropylene material center tube enhances pressure resistance. Made entirely of polypropylene, this filter is non-toxic and tasteless.

This filter removes up to 99% of particles, silt, sand, rust, and other undissolved contaminants in dirty water. As the first line of defense in the filtration system, it helps protect water-using appliances and plumbing, improving water quality and taste.

For optimal water quality, it is recommended to replace this filter two to three times per year, depending on the original water source quality and the application type. The recommended change-out differential pressure is 30 psi (2.1 bar).
