This polypropylene sediment filter cartridge measures 20 inches in height and 2.5 inches in diameter, with a 5-micron rating. It is compatible with a wide range of industrial and whole-house filter housings.

The filter's primary function is to remove up to 99% of rust, silt, sand, iron, and other undissolved particles from dirty water. As the first line of defense in a filtration system, it helps protect water-using appliances and plumbing, improving water quality and taste.

Compared to string-wound filters, this filter utilizes a unique hot-melt technology, ensuring no fibers are shed, which avoids secondary contamination of the liquid.
